Skrillex Lets The Light Lineup Cat Out of the Bag

Five DJs were already announced as residents in the upcoming Light nightclub at Mandalay Bay, but one of them put up a poster on Twitter with a fleshed-out roster ahead of any official statement. Either that, or it was some tenacious detective work from Skrillex, P.I. (How much would you pay to watch that show? $200? $400? $1,000?) In a February 14 tweet, Skrillex tipped that he, A-Trak, Alesso, Andy Caldwell, Axwell, Baauer, Bassjackers, Carl Kennedy, Clockwork, Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike, Hook N Sling, Mat Zo, Nicky Romero, Otto Knows, Sebastian Drums, Sebastian Ingrosso, Stafford Brothers, Steve Powers, Thomas Gold and Zedd would all be taking shifts at the new joint starting April 26.

To celebrate the release of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, Kate Upton and the ladies of the hour came out to Las Vegas to do whatever it is models do in their downtime. (In Upton’s case, that includes “not getting hypothermia of the nipples, for a change.”) They recorded a “Harlem Shake” video at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign (of course they did), went to Marquee on February 13, and were at 1 Oak on February 14, where Pitbull performed. Yeesh. The “Harlem Shake” wasn’t the worst crime against music from that two-day stay, after all.

Rockhouse Debuts at New Home in Palazzo

Rockhouse is bigger and better than ever (and now with bathrooms). The casual party spot previously housed at the Imperial Palace gets a major upgrade at its new home now open in the Shoppes at the Palazzo (across from First Food & Bar). The space previously occupied by Smokin’ Hot Aces, Vivid and Venus now has the added advantage of a new entrance directly into the Shoppes—as opposed to one mostly hidden outside by the pedestrian bridge—something the space’s previous incarnations lacked.
