Las Vegas likes it on top … of the Nightclub & Bar Top 100 list. The annual rankings of the highest-grossing venues in the country were just released, with seven of the top 10 moneymakers hailing from our fair city: XS and Marquee tied at No. 1, each reporting a 2012 revenue of $80 million to 90 million! In comparison, Marquee was No. 1 last year with $70 million to 80 million and XS in at No. 2 with $60 million to $70 million, so the bar just keeps going higher. If anyone gets down on the city again, all they have to do is look at the list to show that level of DJ talent and baller bottle-service customers come in handy.
The remaining Top 10 in order are Tao, Liv (Miami), Surrender, Pure, Lavo New York, Tryst, Lavo Las Vegas and Mango’s Tropical Café (Miami). Respectable nods in the top 25 also go to Hyde, Haze, 1 Oak, LAX, Vanity, Ghostbar, The Bank and even the Chandelier Bar in the Cosmopolitan.
The Top 100 list is followed by the Nightclub & Bar Show, which returns to Vegas March 19-21 to unveil the latest in nightlife technology and products, plus the Nightclub & Bar awards. Las Vegas has been doing so well, NC&B even had to create a separate Vegas awards category to give the rest of the country a shot. Surrounding the conference are a plethora of parties, but for those looking to mingle with the big boys, the Top 100 Platinum Party at Marquee is March 20. Details can be found at NCBShow.com.
