Concert Review: Ne-Yo

The Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan, June 28

p class=”p1″>?I graduated from Rancho High School Class of ?98,? proclaimed the Las Vegas native turned pop/R&B superstar. Performing in front of a packed poolside audience, Ne-Yo wasted no time in losing various items of clothing and heating up a crowd full of young ladies on this scorching summer night. ?Let?s Go? revved up his fans as Ne-Yo and his eight background dancers moved across the stage while executing full leg splits and somersault stick landings. ?Miss Independent? and ?So Sick? were sing-along favorites, and many of the singer?s own vocals were drowned out by the ?choir? he created by turning the mic stand toward the crowd and allowing his fans to sing to him. ?One in a Million? and ?Do You? slowed the show?s fast-paced tempo and allowed Ne-Yo to show off his live vocals and charming showmanship before ?Because of You? and ?Closer? brought a riveting climax to an audience happy to see their hometown boy. ?????
