?The Corporate States of America? is a clever map graphic that?s making the rounds online. (We saw it at TheAtlanticCities.com.) Each state is emblazoned with the logo of a corporation ?that best [represents] it.? Washington, for instance, is Starbucks, Georgia is Coca-Cola, and Nevada is Zappos, which made nearly $8 billion in 2011 and has 66,800 employees worldwide. Oh, wait, that?s MGM Resorts International. Zappos is the $1 billion company with a little more than 1,500 employees. Our bad. Well, at least Zappos is the company people all over the world think of when they think of Nevada. What? Wrong again?
Also?and no offense to creator Steve Lovelace, who did a fine job?this graphic looks like a damn NASCAR decal.
