Best Pretend Cowboy

Joe Tasso

Joe Tasso might be the only cowboy you’ll meet with a Brooklyn accent, but as the supervisor at Bonnie Springs Ranch, he is quite knowledgeable about the former Western town and tourist attraction near Blue Diamond. He participates six days a week in fake gunfights, and also educates guests about the ranch’s history. Tasso appeared in a 2011 episode of Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures, helping the show’s hosts investigate paranormal activity at Bonnie Springs’ schoolhouse and wax museum. He even earned the nickname “Angry Joe” for continually asking one of the ghosts if it was angry.

$10 for adults, $7 for children; 16395 Bonnie Springs Rd.,
