The old saw about Vegas residencies is that it’s where past-their-prime performers go to die. Not so with Soul2Soul, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s 20-show series at the Venetian. This superstar married couple is still at the top of their game: McGraw’s latest album, Two Lanes of Freedom, came out in February, and he’s touring in support of it. Hill has a new music video and single out, “American Heart.” Moreover, they join Garth Brooks and Shania Twain in a line of country stars taking over the Strip. Their show, which included duets and solos of their hits, closed in April. But rumor is that Tim and Faith are in negotiations for another contract.
A Peek at Life Is Beautiful 2017
Gorillaz are coming to Las Vegas for the first time ever. 2016’s Grammy winner for best new artist, Chance the Rapper, will return. English rockers Muse will bring their dizzying live show to the streets of Downtown. And that’s just the top of an eclectic bill that features more than 70 acts, along with comedy, interactive art installations, a group art exhibit featuring the work of Mark Ryden, Tara McPherson and Shepard Fairey and much more. Last year saw more than 137,000 attendees trod the festival footprint. Who’s ready for more?
