Looking in on Beacher’s Madhouse

Beacher’s Madhouse is coming this New Year’s Eve, and here’s what’s going to be tucked behind the secret-entrance bookcase.

There’s 8,500 square feet of space, a lot of reds and leather, a life-sized stuffed elephant and a wall-mounted midget cannon. Wait. Midget cannon?

Huh. Yeah, that definitely seems to be a midget cannon, playing to Jeff Beacher’s pathological fascination with little people.

The performance/nightlife spot will also feature a “Beau Joie Midget Bar,” a photo booth and a London-style red phone booth, which somehow doesn’t incorporate anything midget-related. That we’re aware of. The club’s grand opening is January 17, and industry nights will start on January 8.
