At the crossroads of Champagne and chic lies Fizz, a new lounge at Caesars Palace. Wrapped in the aura of Sir Elton John and his longtime partner in creativity and love, David Furnish, Fizz is set to soft-open this Friday, just in time for holiday celebrating.
Fizz ups Caesars’ style ante thanks to two iconic figures in music fashiondom. “It’s an extension of [Furnish and John’s] home, including elements from their vast collection of color photography, a distinctive dining menu from their personal chef, and an overall feeling of sophistication and exclusivity,” says Michael Greco, who with Steven Kennedy owns and operates Marvel Management and Marketing (M3), makers of the bubbly bar. Furnish serves as the bar’s creative director.
“Fizz Las Vegas is unique not only in its celebration of top-shelf Champagne, cocktail and food offerings, but in its overall intimacy and infusion of art, fashion and design elements,” adds Greco. Indeed, bronze, glass, cream leathers, faux fur and cheetah prints hearken back to Caesars circa the late ’60s and early ’70s … but with a contemporary spirit courtesy of designer Todd-Avery Lenahan of TAL Studio (also behind Andrea’s at Encore).
Fizz is mum about its menu, but the good word is that there will be a selection of vintage and rare Champagnes and carefully curated spirits, along with caviar, charcuterie and small plates.
Retro yet modern, Fizz’s ambiance and its liquor program have been designed for locals looking for luxe as well as for tourists seeking destination sophistication before or after a show—maybe Elton’s? How apropos.
