Six or seven weeks a year … the entire property wears Western wear in support of the rodeo events that are going on. Whether it’s NFR, PBR, INFR, College Finals Rodeo or big-barrel racing, we allow our employees to dress up in Western attire, and the customers love it. I’ll throw a sports coat on for a more business cowboy look.
If there’s not an event here at the property … or I’m not going to be riding or going out doing any cowboy stuff, I wear a suit to work every day. I’m in slacks and a polo—more of a golf attire—just to be running around town.
I got on a bull one time for a news interview … just to show the process: “This is the flank, these are the rods, this is the gate, this is how you get on the bull …” They asked if I wanted them to open the gate. My adrenaline was pumping and everyone was watching … but I said no. I like my teeth too much.
