Two restaurants closed over the weekend, one quite unexpectedly. Hops & Harvest, chef Bradley Ogden’s return to Las Vegas at the Tivoli Village mall, now belongs to the ages.
The chef is developing a concept called Funky Chicken, so he’s preoccupied, but the abrupt closure comes as a mild surprise, since the restaurant was a real plum. It may not bode well for the troubled Tivoli Village, either, whose only consistent draw seems to be a chain restaurant, Brio.
Kelly’s, on the other hand, a Long Beach steakhouse on Paradise Road, appeared to be stillborn. On my two visits, you could have shot a cannon off in the place.
