Calvin Harris’ Hakkasan New Year’s Eve performance is the most coveted ticket in town. Others will be sought-after, but only Harris is the highest-paid DJ in the world, at the hottest new club on the Strip, on the biggest night of the year. Harris’ 20-month residency includes 46 dates, but none bigger than this. In MGM Grand, 8 p.m.,

Meanwhile, Kaskade spins the third of four shows during his winter XS residency. The producer is riding high after being named “America’s Best DJ” by DJ Times for a second time, and will surely have something special planned to put the cherry atop his 2013. In Encore, 9 p.m.,

Vice headlines a recently renovated Lavo, where you can drink up at the premium open bar until 11 p.m. and enjoy heavy passed hors d’oeuvres until the complimentary Champagne toast at midnight, at which point your ticket stub gets you into Tao, too. Maybe that’s why Vice warns against overdoing it before midnight. In the Palazzo, 9 p.m.,

Hakkasan has the hottest ticket, but Encore has the best lineup. At Surrender, Diplo drops his blend of Brazilian ghetto and Jamaican dancehall. Arrive early for the open bar from 9-11 p.m. In Encore, 9 p.m.,

Fly into Light for Swedish House mafioso Sebastian Ingrosso. Here’s to the Cirque du Soleil-powered megaclub surprising us with something over-the-top for its biggest party to date. In Mandalay Bay, 9 p.m.

Join Chuckie to ring in a Dapper & Dashing Dirty Dutch 2014. “It’s all about suits and ties on New Year’s Eve,” he says. Read Chuckie’s fairly clean guide to a Dirty Dutch New Year’s Eve. Then head to Marquee for a premium open bar till 11 p.m., heavy passed hors d’oeuvres till midnight and a complimentary Champagne toast. In the Cosmopolitan, 9 p.m.,

Turn down for what? Ditch the Champagne for another round of shots with Lil Jon at Tryst with three complimentary drinks per person for the first hour, featuring Cîroc vodka and Don Julio tequila. Needless to say, this party will be crunk. In Wynn, 9 p.m.,

Critically acclaimed North Carolina-raised and two-time Billboard chart-topping rapper J. Cole hosts 1 Oak. Arrive early for the open bar till 11 p.m. In The Mirage, 9 p.m.,

Nine-time Grammy Award-winning R&B singer and Ivy League-educated John Legend hosts Haze, with an open bar till 11 p.m. In Aria, 9 p.m.,

Paris Hilton hosts—no wait … DJs—at Hyde! That’s right, Paris Hilton can be seen and heard at Hyde. There are also tray-passed hors d’oeuvres, a complimentary hosted bar till midnight, a Champagne toast and open-air views of the fireworks. In Bellagio, 9 p.m.,

Common, Chicago’s socially conscious rap star-turned-movie star, hosts at The Bank, where there’s also an open bar till 11 p.m. In Bellagio, 9 p.m.

Live Performances

Grammy Award-winning R&B superstar Miguel performs at Tao, and runs away with our pick for best midnight make-out soundtrack. Enjoy the premium open bar till 11 p.m. and heavy passed hors d’oeuvres till midnight, followed by a complimentary Champagne toast and free entry into Lavo with your Tao ticket. In the Venetian, 9 p.m.,

Multiplatinum star Keri Hilson takes the stage at LAX. Ladies, do the “Pretty Girl Rock” as you make a grand entrance down the fairy-tale staircase—straight to the open bar from 9 p.m.-midnight. In Luxor, 8 p.m.,

Pure rings in the New Year with a performance by Grammy Award-winning Las Vegas gentleman Ne-Yo. In Caesars Palace, 8 p.m.,

Head to the Chateau rooftop for a performance by R&B star Jeremih, and be treated to an open bar from 9 p.m.-midnight and a stunning view of both the fireworks and Bellagio fountains. In Paris, 8 p.m.,

If you’re looking for great fireworks views as well as live music, Moon has a performance by Foxes, the siren featured on Zedd’s “Clarity,” with a Billboard No. 1 for “Youth.” Guests receive complimentary party favors and a Champagne toast. In the Palms, 9 p.m.,

Three 6 Mafia frontman Juicy J spits a special New Year’s Eve concert at The Joint. It’s been a year worth celebrating for the formerly underground Southern rapper-turned-Miley-Cyrus-and-Justin-Beiber collaborator. In Hard Rock Hotel, 8 p.m.,

Party hard amid highly anticipated craziness as Beacher’s Madhouse returns to the Strip. This grand opening promises insane, outrageous, midget-heavy sensory overload. In MGM Grand, 9 p.m.,

Avoiding clubs this New Year’s Eve? Head Downtown to The Smith Center to see Kristin Chenoweth live. The Tony Award-winning Broadway actress, Emmy Award-winning TV star and Billboard-charting singer is as multitalented as they come. 361 Symphony Park Ave., 7:30 p.m.,

Head to the Cosmopolitan for Grammy Award-winning recording crooner and critically acclaimed performer Bruno Mars, who inaugurates the Strip’s newest performance venue, the Chelsea. In the Cosmopolitan, 8 p.m.,

People’s Sexiest Man Alive, Adam Levine, and Grammy Award-winning Maroon 5 rock the Mandalay Bay Events Center. In Mandalay Bay, 7 p.m.,

Start 2014 at a high point, literally. Stratosphere’s Level 107 Lounge offers a three-hour open bar, party favors and sounds by DJ Dezie, while the Tower Party on Level 108 kicks it up to four hours of open bar, adding dancers and models to the mix with music by DJ Mac. 9 p.m.,

Get a front-row seat to all of the New Year’s Eve fireworks and excitement at Ghostbar. Holiday revelers will be treated to complimentary party favors and a Champagne toast. In the Palms, 8 p.m.,

The Boulevard Pool will live-stream Bruno Mars’ performance from the Chelsea on the Cosmopolitan’s 65-foot outdoor marquee. There you can also skate around the ice rink, sip a spiked hot chocolate and enjoy the pyrotechnics above. At 9 p.m.,

Romance is on the menu at the Eiffel Tower Experience. Admission to the observation deck includes endless Champagne, a keepsake photo and the priceless Parisian view from 460 feet up. In Paris, 11 p.m.,

Begin the New Year with a blast from the past at Atomic Liquors, and kick back a free toast of bubbly at midnight. 917 Fremont St.,

Collective Zoo rolls out the red carpet at the Mob Museum for Boulevard Empire, a glitzy, Prohibition-era bash. Admission includes three-hour “top-shelf” open bar, DJs, live music and a televised countdown. 300 E. Stewart Ave., 8 p.m.,

Over in the Arts District, Velveteen Rabbit hosts a bevy of local bands, including indie rockers Twin Brother, and a complimentary Champagne toast when the clock strikes midnight. 1218 S. Main St.,

Off-Strip Parties

On the north side, ETA Lounge goes glam for the All That Glitters Is Gold party with DJs, go-go’s and a Champagne toast at midnight. In Aliante, 10 p.m.,

Silverton wants you to Skip the Strip, offering an all-you-can-drink wristband for all casino bars and access to the DJ dance party inside Veil Pavilion. 7 p.m.,

Wanna get rowdy on the west end of town? Swing by Revolver for sounds by DJ Sinner and save a midnight smooch for resident party animal Delilah, the disco armadillo. In Santa Fe Station, 9 p.m.,


Where can you rage until after the sun rises? We’re glad you asked, eager partygoer. Artisan revs up at 10 p.m. with spin sessions from M!ke Attack, Justin Key, Chris Aurelius and J. Diesel, and the shenanigans don’t stop till 8 a.m. 1501 W. Sahara Dr.,

Get down at Drai’s Afterhours, where the festivities start at 10 p.m. and last until the wee hours. We hear table reservations are extra tasty this year, offering strawberry platters alongside booze in both the house and hip-hop rooms. In Bally’s,

Gilley’s has rounded up The Voice Season 4 finalists the Swon Brothers for a live performance. If you feel like putting on your own show, drink up during the four-hour open bar and hop on the mechanical bull for a $5 ride. There’ll also be a premium view of fireworks on the Strip. Party on a 3,000-square-foot patio at PBR Rockbar. There’ll be DJs to get you dancing, an open bar, bottle service and a televised broadcast of the countdown to midnight. In the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, 9 p.m.,

Lily Bar & Lounge keeps it classy with a performance by musician Daniel Park and a complimentary Veuve Clicquot toast. In Bellagio, 9 p.m.,

For the indecisive imbiber, Cabo Wabo Cantina has a little bit of everything: private bars, tubs of beer, beer-pong tables, roaming cocktails and a five-station buffet including carnitas and crab legs. In the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, 9:30 p.m.,
