Saturday, Jan. 25

Dress in layers, then ditch them along the course of the Strip Poker Run, where the clothes you remove are donated to Crossings at St. Jude’s Ranch and each article exchanges for playing cards to participate in the Texas Hold ‘Em Finish Line

Saturday, Feb. 22

At the Color Run 5k, you start wearing white and end at the finish festival doused in colored powder. Global Poverty Project is a nonprofit partner and additional and local charity partners are to be announced.

Sunday, March 2

Think you can handle 1,455 steps in a row? Scale the Strat is a race through the 108 floors of the Stratosphere’s observation tower. Proceeds go toward lung disease research on behalf of the American Lung Association.

Saturday, March 29

Part fun-run, part foam party; Bubble Run is a 3-mile race complete with four different colored frothy bogs. Proceeds benefit the American Heart Association.

Saturday, April 12

The Summerlin Half Marathon takes you through 12.5 miles of scenic ups, downs and loops to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Saturday, April 26

Participation in the fifth annual, 80-mile Tour de Summerlin includes nutrition and hydration clinics, weekly rides, a team jersey and team pasta dinner in advance of the event. Last year’s ride raised more than $94,000 for families of children with cancer on behalf of charity partner, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada.

Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27

A 10-12-mile “obstacle course,” the Tough Mudder is renowned as one of the most grueling fitness challenges to exist. Participation warrants a sense of great accomplishment, especially because the event raises funds for Wounded Warrior Project.

Saturday, May 3

The 19th annual Komen Southern Nevada Race for the Cure takes place once again at the Fremont Street Experience. Funds raised go toward local and national breast cancer research efforts.

Saturday, May 3

Whether you want to ride 20, 35, 65 or 100 miles, your participation in the Tour de Cure bike ride—which starts and finishes at M Resort—supports the American Diabetes Association in finding a cure for the disease.

Sunday, May 4

Hosts Penn & Teller lead the 24th annual AIDS Walk Las Vegas at UNLV’s Student Union Courtyard. Proceeds benefit Aid for AIDS of Nevada, which celebrates its 30-year anniversary in 2014.

Saturday, May 10

Moms Rock! 10k, 5k and 1-mile fun walk rolls through Floyd Lamb Park for the fifth consecutive year benefitting the Lou Ruvo Center’s Keep Memory Alive Foundation. Look out for the first-ever Dads Rock Too! Run in June.

Sunday, Oct. 12

GlowRun takes over the streets of Downtown once again with tutus and neon as recommended running attire. It ends with an EDM-festival finish, and it’s all in support of Aid for AIDS of Nevada.

Sunday, Nov. 16

From the southern tip of the Strip to the Fremont Street Experience, the Rock ‘N Roll Marathon—available in full, half, or’s half-of-the-half-lengths—keeps you moving thanks to live music along the course. Proceeds benefit Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.
