Juicy J Hosts Headphones Party and Haze Gives Away Electronics in CES/Nightlife Bonanza

Thursday, Jan. 9

Wanna win $20,000? Haze is giving away that much in Apple products tonight. It’s Consumer Electronics Show season, after all! (In Aria, 10:30 p.m., HazeLasVegas.com.) Over at Tao, Juicy J hosts the Soul Headphones Party. While there’s no promise of Apple products at this one, you can bet on a heavy rotation of J’s Southern rap. (In the Venetian, 10 p.m., TaoLasVegas.com.) Lastly, in a collision of epic proportions, Swedish house mobster Axwell teams up with hip-hop maestro Kendrick Lamar for a Beats by Dre Takeover at Light. (In Mandalay Bay, 10 p.m., TheLightVegas.com.)

Friday, Jan. 10

Today is the final day of CES, so you might as well tap into the discounts before they’re gone. That badge around your neck is good for: 10 percent off at Cabo Wabo Cantina (in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, CaboWaboCantina.com/Vegas); 10 percent off at Trevi, which is serving a Techtini cocktail for the occasion (in the Forum Shops at Caesars, Trevi-Italian.com); and 15 percent off at Rockhouse, which will honor the same deal later this week with your AVN convention badge, in case you’re that one dude who goes to both. (In the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, TheRockhouseBar.com.) Before Dash Berlin embarks on his Australian tour next month, the trance king stops in to spin at Marquee. (In the Cosmopolitan, 10 p.m., MarqueeLasVegas.com.)

Saturday, Jan. 11

Now mourn we the end of CES—and the discounts—by day-drinking at Ghostbar with DJs Lisa Pittman and Exodus. (In the Palms, 1 p.m., Palms.com.) Next, drop by Beauty Bar for the debut of ’90s Are Back, a flannel-friendly bash honoring the decade that gave us “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and, of course, Crystal Pepsi. Tribute band Wicked Garden and DJ Munky provide the evening’s entertainment. (517 Fremont St., 9 p.m., TheBeautyBar.com.) Next month, Questlove and The Roots will move with Jimmy Fallon from Late Night to The Tonight Show. But tonight, the bandleader holds down the DJ booth in Hakkasan’s Ling Ling Club (In MGM Grand, 10 p.m., HakkasanLV.com.)

Sunday, Jan. 12

Heroes X Villains—not to be confused with Heroes & Villains, your frat’s go-to party theme—is an Atlanta-based DJ/production duo generating hype for their hybrid of punk, rap and electronic dance music, or, as described on their Facebook biography, “music you can fight or strip to.” See them do their thing at XS tonight. (In Encore, 10 p.m., XSLasVegas.com.) “Save water, spray Champagne.” That’s the slogan for this Winter Wonderland edition of XIV Sessions at Hyde—although you will eventually need water to wash said Champagne out of your hair and clothing. We tried it once with bubbly, and it didn’t end well. (In Bellagio, 6 p.m., HydeBellagio.com.)

Monday, Jan. 13

Pop into Backstage Bar & Billiards for the Hollyweird Tour, a bill that includes Blake Lewis of American Idol Season 6 fame and M.I.A.’s protégé, Rye Rye. Get there early to support locals 2 Tenderoni, Gia K and Duwop Rose, the Vinylist. (601 Fremont St., 7 p.m., BackstageBarandBilliards.com.)

Tuesday, Jan. 14

The 2×4 is not only a secret menu item at In-N-Out Burger (that’s two beef patties and four slices of cheese), it’s also an equipment setup employed when two DJs team up for one epic spin session. 1 Oak calls that 4-Play, and tonight, on the eve of AVN Expo Week, they’re hosting a Boogie Nights edition of the party with DJs Ikon and Karma. Ladies dressed in ’70s-style costumes drink free until midnight. (In The Mirage, 10:30 p.m., 1OakLasVegas.com.)

Wwednesday, Jan. 15

Since Oxford Dictionaries named “selfie” Word of the Year in 2013, perhaps we should find something else to photograph and filter in 2014. Tonight, Surrender gets us started with the Jus 4 Kix Party, during which there’ll be an Instagram sneaker contest and sounds by Jay Z’s tour DJ, Jus Ske. So wear your fly-est kicks, and post a pic of them “jus 4 us.” (In Encore, 10:30 p.m., SurrenderNightclub.com.) Before you jump full-on into AVN, let’s stretch your brain with some trivia: Did you know that an AVN Hall of Fame exists? It does! And former adult actress Katie Morgan was an inductee at last year’s awards show. She’ll be hosting Neon Flow industry afterhours at Crazy Horse III tonight, joined by DJ Ikon on the turntables and body-painted dancers on top of the regular tables. (3525 W. Russell Rd., 2 a.m., Jan. 16, CrazyHorse3.com.)
