18-Plus Party Booted From the Strip, Aims to Launch at Sport Center

Club Fresh, the 18-plus party originally set to debut on the Strip later this month, never made it out of the gate at its planned location, Palazzo’s Dal Toro Ristorante.

Promoter Clayton Marshall says that when word of the event spread, Dal Toro backed out of its contract to host the party in the face of pressure from Palazzo to shut down the event. A spokesman for Venetian/Palazzo declined to issue a statement, and representatives from Dal Toro didn’t respond to a request to comment.

Now the party is aiming for a June 28 bow at The Sport Center of Las Vegas at 121 E. Sunset Road, behind the TaylorMade Golf Experience. The entertainment lineup would remain unchanged, with The Voice Season 5 contestant Barry Black headlining, and joined by soul singer Trice Be.

The Sports Center, with its batting cages and go-karts, would appear to be a more natural home cheap viagra canada for an 18-plus party, but this does take away the cachet of peeling back the curtain on Strip nightlife for the young adult set.

With the logistical challenges of preparing an on-Strip site for use by under-21 adults, it will likely be a while before someone cracks this particular code. Then again, potential partygoers can always fall back on the time-honored hobby of 18-to-20-year-olds everywhere: anxiously counting down the days until your ID becomes unambiguously legal.
