Insomniac’s not the only local nightlife company to get into the recording label game. Drai’s Entertainment, owners of Drai’s After Hours and the new Drai’s Beach Club and Nightclub in the Cromwell, announced Thursday that they’re partnering with Turn First Artists and Capitol Records to launch a new electronic dance music label, After Hours.
A statement from the company says the label hopes to offer artists “360 degree service” including residencies at Drai’s properties, which also include the new gay club Liaison.
“We have created the most spectacular venues to feature artists nightly in front of thousands of guests from around the globe,” says Drai’s Entertainment owner Victor Drai. “Having a record label is the next logical step for Drai’s Enterprises. We are looking forward to discovering and showcasing the next generation of music.”
After Hours will be based on the Strip, with offices in London, New York and Los Angeles, according to the release.
