Camp on Tao Beach, Groove at The Greatest Party on Earth

Thursday, August 7

Consider this an official heads-up to shine your dancing shoes. And maybe a second pair in case you burn holes through the first ones. Brooklyn Bowl gets groovy this weekend starting with a performance from electro-funk duo Chromeo. (In the  Linq, 6 p.m., That’s directly followed by the Las Vegas debut of Aussie DJ/ producer Flume. Best known for working remix magic on Disclosure’s “You & Me,” he’s also collaborated with rapper Ghostface Killah and won over the Coachella crowd with his remix of Lorde’s “Tennis Court.” Pretty darn impressive for a 22-year-old. (11:30 p.m.,

Friday, August 8

Continuing the funk marathon, Brooklyn Bowl brings in electronic rockers Cut Copy. The band, like Chromeo and Flume, is traveling westward after playing Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 5. (In the Linq, 7 p.m., One of Las Vegas’ own electronic bands, Payola Presley, headlines Lavo Lounge with support from fellow locals Cash Colligan and Jesse Pino. Also promised is live body painting and two-for-one drinks from 9-10 p.m. (In the Palazzo, 9 p.m.,

Saturday, August 9

Whether or not you attended camp as a kid, you’re bound to make memories during Camp at Tao Beach. Play classic camp games for a chance to win $5,000 in prizes. Oh, and there’s Stoli open bar from 1-2 p.m. for ladies on the guest list. We’ll betcha no other summer camp has that. (At the Venetian, 11 a.m., Now imagine yourself in Drai’s Beach Club Nightclub. You’re bobbing your head to house tunes when all of the sudden you hear T-Boz’s vocals on TLC’s “Waterfalls.” It sounds surreal, but it can happen when L.A.’s eclectic Bixel Boys are in the booth. (In the Cromwell, 10 p.m., At Liaison, the pop singer formerly known as Jessie Malakouti of Jessie & the Toy Boys celebrates her rebirth as Eden XO. She’ll perform her sassy new single, “Too Cool to Dance”—a must-listen for fans of Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani. (In Bally’s, 10 p.m.,

Sunday, August 10

EDM prodigy Porter Robinson will drop his highly anticipated debut album, Worlds, on August 12. So far the 22-year-old has teased us with “Flicker,” a track Vogue describes as “giving the genre a much-needed adjustment.” We can cross our fingers for more previews in this installment of his residency at Marquee Dayclub. (In the Cosmopolitan, 11 a.m.,

Monday. August 11

Speaking of new music, producer Jermaine Dupri recently shared a preview of the upcoming album from ’90s R&B staples Jagged Edge. With the video, he wrote a short note about how he finds modern-day R&B demeaning to women, and says he’s “determined to restore” the genre. We’re curious if this attitude will affect his set at XS. (In Encore,  10 p.m.,

Tuesday, August 12

If you attended previous editions of Clinton Sparks‘ Greatest Party On Earth but thought that the big-top circus theme wasn’t enough, you’ll love this disco circus version. We imagine the vibe will be something like Saturday Night Fever meets Big Top Pee-wee. As per usual, the party’s at 1 Oak. (In The Mirage, 10:30 p.m.,

Wednesday. August 13

Spend hump day at Daydream Pool Club for Wicked Wednesdays. L.A.’s DJ Shy spins at the industry party that continues through August. A comped bottle of Grey Goose comes with any cabana rental. (At M Resort, 11 a.m., Then join I.S.I. Group for a Vegas Made Summer Art Sale at Commonwealth, where Impakt provides the tunes. (525 Fremont St., 10 p.m.,
