The third event in the Chefs To The Max dinner series to benefit injured Vegas Seven food critic Max Jacobson will take place Sunday, September 28 at Carson Kitchen. ‘Chefs to the Max Sunday Supper’ will feature some of this town’s top off-Strip chefs and restaurants showcasing their cooking talents in a casual setting. Rather than enjoying a formal sit-down meal, guests will sample the various chefs’ creations while exploring Kerry Simon’s newest restaurant in Downtown’s renovated John E. Carson hotel.
Participating chefs and restaurants include Ming See Woo (FU at The Hard Rock), Luciano Pellegrini and Jose Aleman (Marche Bacchus), Paloma Cuellar (La Comida), Vic Vegas (V Café), Chris Palmeri (Naked City Pizza/Desnudo Tacos) and O-Face Doughnuts. Beverages will be provided by Southern Wine and Spirits.
Tickets for the event, which will run from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m., are $75 and can be purchased by making a donation via PayPal through the account ChefsToTheMax@gmail.com. Purchases will be confirmed via email.
Jacobson suffered traumatic brain injuries when he was struck by a car on December 23 of last year while walking home from the gym. Since April, he’s been undergoing rehabilitation in Denver and Omaha. But his family and friends are hopeful that he and his wife will be back in Las Vegas before the end of September and able to attend this dinner. Jacobson’s recovery has been remarkable. He is currently walking and dining out once again as his speech continues to improve. He and his family have repeatedly expressed their gratitude to the local community for their emotional and financial support.
