For those of you wondering about the status of Alex Stratta’s Tivoli Village tapas restaurant, Tapas, which was originally set to open last month, we’ve got the scoop straight from Stratta himself. Rather than open in Tivoli’s former pizza place as originally planned, the chef will be bringing the concept to a nearby spot that previously housed Poppy Den. “It is an environment more harmonious with my vision and it has a more substantial kitchen, allowing us to ‘turn up the menu,’” Stratta says of the new location, which is also larger and includes an outdoor patio. There’s no word on when the restaurant will finally open. But, Stratta says, “We are so grateful for the outpouring of enthusiasm, and we hope patrons will allow us just a little more time to present the restaurant experience we feel you deserve.”
