If you’re thinking it’s way too early for Vegas Uncork’d talk, think again since the annual celebrity chef and food-packed weekend comes early this year. Tickets go on sale today for the series of hosted dinners and dine-arounds April 23-26, with a whole slew of new events at Aria, Bellagio, Caesars Palace and MGM Grand. The latest addition? A chef that lots of food lovers have been waiting on: Emeril Lagasse.
The king of Creole finally hosts his first Vegas Uncork’d meals. The first is an intimate $250 per-person dinner with Lagasse himself at his recently revamped New Orleans Fish House in MGM Grand. The second gets down NOLA-style as a Seafood Extravaganza at the MGM Grand pool, complete with a seafood boil and live music from the Big Easy. This year, Lagasse will also host the third annual Chase Sapphire Preferred Grill Challenge, which pits two culinary students with their celebrity chef mentors cooking against each other for a good chunk of scholarship money.
In all, there are 10 new events spicing things up this year, including a taco fiesta with Border Grill’s Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken, while Hakkasan’s Michelin-starred chef Ho Chee Boon takes diners on a six-course tour of China. It’s nice to see flavors go global this year. Where will you be eating that weekend?
