Nightclub & Bar magazine has released its annual Top 100 club listings based on 2014 gross revenues, with seven of the top 10 listings hailing from Las Vegas. Topping the list for the third year in a row is XS Nightclub. But Encore’s six-year-old bacchanal only narrowly beat out newcomer Hakkasan with reported gross revenues in excess of $100 million. Marquee, Tao and LIV (Miami) round out the top five, with gross revenues ranging from $40-85 million each. Other Las Vegas venues making the list include: Surrender (No. 6), Hyde Bellagio (No. 9), Lavo (No. 10), Chandelier Bar (No. 17), Tryst (No. 18), Chateau (No. 28), Ghostbar (No. 48), Lagasse’s Stadium (No. 55), Bond Bar (No. 66), Vesper (No. 67) and The Bourbon Room (No. 68).
A spokesperson for Nightclub & Bar shares that revenues, “are collected from the venues in the survey process and verified through secondary research and a detailed formulaic approach to review the data submitted… Dayclubs are not included in the listings [however], in some instances restaurant numbers are included if it is part of the venue and not a separate property.”
If is seems like something is missing, it is. “Some venues choose not to participate in the final verification process,” Nightclub & Bar’s rep says. “The Light Group is a privately held venue and chose not to provide their survey information. So [it] had to be removed from the list.”
