NOT JUST ‘STAIRWAY’
Critics consider Led Zeppelin IV one of the greatest rock records ever recorded. The legendary album includes the English band’s well-known songs such as “Stairway to Heaven,” “Going to California” and “Rock and Roll.” On May 8, witness world-class musicians perform the storied work from cover-to-cover at Red Rock Resort’s In Its Entirety concert series. Call us old fashioned, but we suggest enjoying albums as cohesive pieces of art. RedRock.SCLV.com.
Frank Sinatra is the epitome of classic Vegas cool. Unfortunately, we can no longer witness the late singer/actor perform in person. But we can honor his legacy by seeing Sinatra Forever. Impressionist Rick Michel will interpret the legend’s hits with a 24-piece symphonic orchestra May 9 at Cannery. It won’t be as cool as seeing Ol’ Blue Eyes himself, but we’re sure it’ll be pretty close. CanneryCasino.com.
MADE OF STONE
Because sometimes an artist’s best canvas is nature. In A Gift From the Earth, Japanese sculptor Masatoshi Izumi embodies each of Earth’s four elements: “wind,” “water,” “fire” and “land” in 17,000-pound (and larger) basalt sculptures. The pieces greet guests in front of Bellagio’s main entrance. See the rockin’ installation alongside a Japanese-themed botanical garden through May 11. Bellagio.com.
