Unlock the Swag with Rae Sremmurd, Party With Pete Wentz

Rae Sremmurd

Rae Sremmurd

Thursday, May 7

Have you heard “Prison Riot?” Flosstradamus’ collaboration with GTA and Lil Jon is the final song on their recently released Soundclash EP, and for good reason. The monster track features Lil Jon’s signature hype-man yells on top of the Chicago trap duo’s booming bass drops. We think it might be too much for one track, but it’s sure to get the crowd movin’. Expect to hear it when the two play Encore Beach Club. And if you don’t want to swim, you can at least watch the bass ripples in the water. (In Encore, 10:30 p.m., EncoreBeachClub.com.) “Unlock the Swag” at Tao with Rae Sremmurd. The ski-goggle-wearing rap outfit from Tupelo, Mississippi, will give Las Vegas another dose of the wild stage antics for which it’s known for. When the two performed at Light last year, they jumped on a table in front of the DJ booth and turned up with Baauer. This one’s worth staying up for, and if you show up late to work next day, blame it on the #SremmLife! (In the Venetian, 10 p.m., TaoLasVegas.com.)

Cash out on “likes” for #FollowMeFridays at The Bank. The club encourages partygoers to tag photos taken throughout the night with the aforementioned hash tag in order to gain friends or, more importantly, followers. Resident DJs Romeo and Que provide the tunes in this “Instagram invasion,” and we suggest taking selfies with them in the DJ booth to make your friends jealous. (In Bellagio, 10:30 p.m., TheBankLasVegas.com.) Head to Drai’s to catch a full-length concert from its new resident, electro-indie band Capital Cities. The Grammy-nominated duo met on Craigslist in 2008, and composed jingles for commercials until they released a self-titled EP in 2011. No wonder “Safe and Sound” is so damn catchy! (In the Cromwell, 10:30 p.m., DraisNightclub.com.)

Temperatures may be rising, but ex-Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello has been keeping audiences warm since he debuted his Reflections residency in Life in October. The Swede is known for incorporating fire in his act to supplement his progressive house beats, so this will be a hot event. Read more about his use of fire at VegasSeven.com/Steve-Angello. (At SLS, 10:30 a.m., FoxtailLasVegas.com.) London trio Above & Beyond brings its signature trance sounds to Hakkasan. The group just announced that it’s broadcasting the 150th episode of its hugely popular radio show, Above & Beyond Group Therapy, in Sydney on Sept. 26. As the late Aussie Steve Irwin would have said, “Nice!” (In MGM Grand, 10:30 p.m., HakkasanLV.com.) Bearracuda Las Vegas makes its debut at the Bunkhouse. Expect “tasty snacks and chunky visuals” during one of the most prolific gay dance events in the U.S. (124 S. 11th St., 9 p.m., BunkhouseDowntown.com.)

Pete Wentz

Sunday, May 10

After you spoil mom, head to Rehab where Pete Wentz will trade his bass guitar for turntables. The Fall Out Boy member-turned-DJ pulled off a Lil Wayne/Morrissey mash-up in the past, and we can’t wait to see what he’s got up his tattoo sleeves tonight. Maybe he’ll throw some classic FOB into the mix. “Sugar We’re Goin’ Down,” anyone? (At Hard Rock Hotel, 11 a.m., RehabLV.com.)

Monday, May 11

SKAM Artist Eric D-Lux is a very busy man. The “Hot Girl” producer recently performed in Atlantic City, Miami and Hawaii. When he’s not on the road, he juggles weeknight gigs at Los Angeles’ Power 106 with residency dates in Las Vegas. The frequent traveler hits Marquee tonight, and you should check him out while you can because who knows where he’ll end up next? (In the Cosmopolitan, 10 p.m., MarqueeLasVegas.com.)

Tuesday, May 12

Few musicians can say they’ve pioneered subgenres; Chuckie is one of them. The Surinamese producer created Dirty Dutch. No, it isn’t an X-rated version of the classic jump-rope game. It’s a hybrid style that adds aggression to the traditional Dutch house groove. See the pioneer at Omnia, and ask him for advice on how to create a new, groundbreaking genre. (In Caesars Palace, 10 p.m., OmniaNightclub.com.)

Wednesday, May 13

Not a fan of surprises? Hit up Baauer’s Studio B anyway. The Billboard Award-winning DJ always brings special guests to his residency at Light. Past visitors have included E-40, Pusha T and ILoveMakonnen, so chances are, this one’s gonna be a pleasant surprise. Sometimes you just need to spice it up! (In Mandalay Bay, 10:30 p.m., TheLightVegas.com.)
