A timely reminder that electronic dance music is, as a genre, taking over the mainstream: Life Is Beautiful has announced that it will partner with Insomniac—the promotion company behind mega-festival Electric Daisy Carnival—to curate an EDM stage and attract more electronic acts to Life Is Beautiful.
“After two years of enjoying [Life Is Beautiful] as a fan, I am excited to announce that Insomniac is partnering with Life Is Beautiful to bring an amazing dance-music experience to this already impressive show,” Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella said in a prepared statement. The Insomniac stage—one of four throughout the festival grounds—will capitalize on Insomniac’s production standards, including pyro, lasers and light shows.
In the past, Life Is Beautiful has featured such electronic acts as Galantis, A-Trak and Ryan Hemsworth, but this new partnership means there will be a heavier emphasis on DJs. The full festival lineup is set to be released later this month. (The roster for this year’s EDC in Las Vegas—scheduled for June 19-21—was released May 6.)
In addition to musical acts, Life Is Beautiful hosts a selection of artists, chefs and speakers. The multi-genre festival—of which Vegas Seven parent company WENDOH Media is also a partner—will take place Downtown on September 25-27.
