The Gumball 3000 is an annual weeklong street rally, a multi-continent road trip (cargo airplanes will take vehicles from Europe to the U.S.) to show off the drivers’ fancy cars as they drive around the world—well, as best they can. This year’s event begins in Stockholm, and ends in Las Vegas.
Participants making it to the 2015 Gumball 3000 finish line will be greeted with a festival at MGM Resorts Village on May 29-30. The original lineup already included such performers as sports car enthusiast Deadmau5, Eve, Bun B and Diplo. DJ/producer Skrillex has also just joined the roster, and will be performing May 30 with Diplo as “Jack Ü,” their collaborative project that released its debut album in February.
The 3,000-mile rally was made popular with the EDM crowd following Deadmau5’s first run in 2014, spanning several countries from Miami to Ibiza. Last year’s journey was well documented online, with Deadmau5’s entertaining Twitter updates and his 16-minute film, Spirit of Gumball, capturing the trip.
