The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance recently released its annual Las Vegas Perspective, an in-depth survey of Southern Nevada residents’ opinions on our area’s economic present and future. We all know tourism is Las Vegas’ bread and butter (or chips and salsa, or blinis and caviar, whichever you prefer). But how do three of our state’s rising industries—health care, technology and aerospace/defense—stack up in the job market? According to the results from the Perspective survey, Nevada’s economy isn’t yet as diverse as respondents hope:
