In her new single “Infinity,” Mariah Carey may belt to an ex (def not Nick Cannon, she states) that infinity is more than just a dream. Her recent music video, however, shows that single life for the diva is a hell of a lot dreamier than infinity. Emerging from her Augustus Villa at Caesars Palace in a silky negligee, Carey breathily “oohs and ahs” toward the Strip. She smiles, raising her hands to the distance, a billboard advertising her successful residency in the background. Onstage at the Colosseum, she sings to thousands of screaming fans that her ex just lost the best thing you’ve ever had. Clips prove her point: Carey pops into her closet of expensive dresses and shoes, gets primped by her hair-and-makeup team and even denies a shirtless Tyson Beckford. I wish my life could be this wonderful after every breakup.
