Carnage, Dash Berlin and Afrojack Top Off EDC Week

Thursday, June 18

The week we’ve been waiting for all year—EDC is finally here! Wake up, pound some coffee and let Duke Dumont and Fatboy Slim ease you into dance mode. Slim is best known for “The Rockafeller Skank” which appeared in Bruce Almighty and peaked at No. 76 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Get down and “Skank” with him when he drops it at Daylight (At Mandalay Bay, 11 a.m., Maybe bass is more to your taste. Rehab hosts the Bassrush Pool Party, featuring Snails, Slander, TC and more. It’s the only chance you’ll be able to catch these artists poolside all weekend, so if you attend, take photos, upload to the ’gram and make the world jealous. (At Hard Rock Hotel, 11 a.m., Looking for more low-end before the big weekend? Stick around for Bassrush Massive at The Joint and catch Zomboy, Excision, Bro Safari and more before they bring the bass to the speedway. (In Hard Rock Hotel, 8 p.m.,

Robin Schulz’s “Sun Goes Down”? Yeah, there’s an app for that. The German deep-house DJ launched a 360-degree music video app for his latest single in which users can join him on a helicopter ride and live show. The app is interactive, so perspectives change with every viewing. You can check it out on the App Store and Google Play, but we suggest joining Schulz at XS, because seeing him in real life will be much more satisfying than experiencing a set via a 4-inch screen. Take that, technology! (In Encore, 10:30 p.m.,

EDC isn’t just a Las Vegas thing; New York has one, too. Just ask Afrojack. The Dutch electro-house giant rocked the circuitGROUNDS stage at EDCNY Memorial Day weekend with his signature abrasive bounce. He’ll bring it to the speedway this weekend, but he’ll also hit Omnia tonight with his collaborator D-Wayne. And if you want to keep the party super exclusive, beeFOWL graces Heart of Omnia for an open-format set. The Los Angeles-based DJ isn’t playing EDC, so now’s the time to see him. (In Caesars Palace, 10 p.m.,

Day 3 of EDC happens to be Father’s Day, so treat Dad to brunch and then take him to Tao Beach to party with New World Punx. The duo consists of trance heavyweights Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten, who were both included in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJ poll in 2014. Even if Pops isn’t into EDM, nobody can say no to a pool party! (At the Venetian, 11 a.m., Former Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello has a lot to be thankful for and even more to show. In an interview with London Evening Standard, the house producer revealed that he likes to indulge in watches, cars and sneakers. His new Scandinavian-style home in Hollywood Hills houses four luxury sports cars (including a McLaren F1 and a Porsche 911), 20 designer watches and more than 800 sneakers. Remind him that his music is what has allowed him to enjoy his material possessions when he plays at Foxtail Pool Club. (At SLS, 10:30 a.m.,

Congratulations—you’re still alive! Pat yourself on the back for making it through an action-packed weekend, but don’t get too comfortable because you’re gonna want to head to 365 Tokyo to celebrate its one-year anniversary. The members-only, reservations-only Japanese-style cocktail club in Inspire Theater is opening its doors to the public from 7 p.m. till close. If you’ve ever wanted to check it out, now’s your chance. To secure seats, email (107 Las Vegas Blvd. South, 7 p.m., Carnage and Dash Berlin team up at Marquee for a post-EDC extravaganza. According to a Vine video posted by Carnage, the Guatemalan producer calls Dash Berlin his uncle. Since they’re so close, we’re guessing they’ll appear on the ones and twos together. (In the Cosmopolitan, 10 p.m.,

The anchor and beats drop at Drai’s for the Yacht Club pool party. Break out the swimsuits and boat shoes, because Las Vegas native Warren Peace is your captain on this nautical, nocturnal voyage. Since receiving a Fisher-Price turntable at the age of 5, the veteran has played high school dances, house parties, clubs and everything in between. Now he can add a “yacht party” to that list, even though he’ll spin in the center of the Strip. (In the Cromwell, 10:30 p.m.,

Since you’ve been livin’ it up for six consecutive days, it’s finally time to wind down. Hit up Whist Stove & Spirits for Wine Not? Wednesdays. The weekly affair offers 50 percent off select bottles of wine from 5-7 p.m., as well as various charcuterie specials. You probably paid some insane prices for alcohol this weekend, so take advantage of these deals and drink on the low. (In The District at Green Valley Ranch, 5-7 p.m.,
