Craving seafood and steak paired with frosty pints of beer? Clear 6 p.m. June 26 on your calendar. Chef Rick Moonen has collaborated on both a beer and a beer dinner with Henderson’s CraftHaus Brewery. For $60, patrons can enjoy a four-course dinner at Rx Boiler Room, including a special new brew by Moonen himself.
Diners will get their toes wet with a pot of Atlantic surf clams, PEI mussels, prawns and king crabs with a glass of CraftHaus Evocation. After surf comes the turf: kalbi marinated skirt steak and crispy, dry hopped Moonen tater tots are paired with a glass of CraftHaus’ Resinate IPA. Lemon verbena sorbet cleans the palate before another wave of seafood: pan-roasted New Bedford jumbo scallops with cauliflower mousse and Romanesco broccoli, and this course is paired with Moonen’s own brew.
Gone With the Wit is Moonen’s first CraftHaus collaboration beer. The Belgian wit beer is infused with a blend locally sourced, organic flowers, herbs and botanicals from Desert Bloom Eco Farm in the Mojave Desert.
The night concludes with a sticky toffee pudding drizzled with maple sugar toffee sauce, served with a glass of Comrade Russian Imperial Stout.
