Nelly Heats Up Rehab

Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel, Sept. 6

Nelly_0940Can somebody say “Hot in Herre?” Grammy award-winning R&B singer and actor Nelly—born Cornell Iral Haynes Jr.—came onstage dancing at the Hard Rock Hotel’s Rehab party, and the excitement never let up. His performance of his early hit “Country Grammar” brightened the evening for the more than 2,000 fans in attendance. At one point, he covered Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” while his girlfriend Shantel Jackson danced against him; later, he grabbed a female fans’ phone and took a selfie with her. The show included guest appearances by JGE Retro and a few others from his entourage, but it was Nelly’s signature dance moves that kept the crowd hyped and reminded me of why I groove to his beats. ★★★★★
