Since opening at the LINQ in spring 2014, 12AM Run has set the “Strip” standard for a proper streetwear boutique. The shop carries coveted items including limited Jordan Brand sneakers, jackets by Stüssy and its house-brand ballcaps, which have been spotted on the heads of influencers such as rapper and owner, Nas.
Considering, the items are highly sought-after in local and national circles, it’s only natural that the store would take its business online. The 12AM Run online shop launched in early October, and according to co-founder Nick Sakai, business is booming.
“We waited to launch the site to really focus on the local customer and build a reputation as a Vegas business,” he says. “Feeling like we have done so, the time is right to really offer our Las Vegas brand to everyone. [Now] we are shipping to all 50 states, [and] it blows me away that so many people from around the country known about 12AM Run.”
Currently, the online marketplace stocks items from brands such as Fountain Valley-based Heist & Co. and parody pieces from Petals & Peacocks alongside its house brand, which Sakai says is a big seller. “Our XIIAM hats and our women’s apparel is fun to watch and monitor. It’s a whole new game.”
When it comes to 12AM Run’s future, Sakai wants to focus on the brand’s apparel and accessories for men and women, as well as potentially opening new storefronts. The store just secured the largest Adidas account in the city at a time when celebrities such as Kanye West and Pharrell are brand ambassadors, but that’s just the beginning. “I feel like the natural next step would be to open more doors in strategic locations across the U.S, but our hands are pretty full at the moment.”
