Carly Rae Jepsen displayed her definitive sweet-girl personality right at the very start of the concert, opening with the single “Run Away With Me.” She continued to do so well into the show, playing a mix of radio-friendly tracks from her first album Kiss and all of the ’80s synthpop and nu-disco influenced bangers from her sophomore album E-MO-TION, such as “LA Hallucinations” and “I Didn’t Just Come Here To Dance.”

Yet despite her amazing vocal range and performances of songs that were arguably even better live, Carly was hard-pressed to engage a passive audience made up of many tourists and confused parents (a problem that was not helped by the awkward acoustic rendition of “Curiosity”). However, nearly everybody in the concert hall was up and dancing at the end when she closed with her universally known hit “Call Me Maybe” and the new leviathan single “I Really like You.” ★★★✩✩
