As hotels swell with visitors for the International Consumer Electronics Show, so do area brothels. One in particular is giving back with a unique display of customer appreciation.

Sheri’s Ranch in Pahrump sees a 70 percent spike in profits during the tech convention, which saw a record-breaking 176,000 attendees in 2015 and returns January 6-9. Since giving is one of the Nye County love nest’s tenets, Sheri’s Ranch offered a free sex sweepstakes to three lucky winners.

“CES is a big deal, and whatever is a big deal for Las Vegas is a big deal for us,” says Dena, the brothel’s tech-savvy madam. “Las Vegas is the adult destination place, and we are an adult destination, so it’s an opportunity to take advantage of that fact and give back to the people who support us.”

According to Sheri’s Ranch, 1,400 people had entered the online drawing. Winners were notified on January 4 and will be treated to complimentary round-trip car service from Las Vegas, Champagne, a surf-and-turf dinner and one hour with a courtesan in a VIP bungalow.

Dubbed by tech news website Re/code as “the unofficial brothel of CES,” Sheri’s Ranch is known for bawdy social media posts. Dena recently tweeted a photo of a courtesan with the note: “Virtual-reality products of #CES2016 will be fascinating, but nothing will ever beat @petite_ivy of @sherisbrothel.”

If all goes well with this inaugural contest, Dena said the brothel will offer it again to CES attendees next year. “My ladies are excited about it,” she says. “I can’t see why we wouldn’t be able to do it every year, but we have to get through this one first.”
