Get Ready for YG and Chicago

Iron those khakis and clean your Chucks: YG is coming. The local promoters in Purple Krown are bringing the West Coast stalwart and some “Friends” to Hard Rock Live March 11 where we’re sure to get a double shot of his gangsta rap flair. We’re not exactly sure what the “Friends” part means, but if it has anything to do with his collaborators—Drake, Rich Homie Quan and Jeremih included—we’re in for a treat. Expect to hear ratchet cuts from his 2014 debut, My Krazy Life, such as “Left, Right” and “Do It To Ya”. YG is no stranger to Vegas, but if you haven’t had a chance to bick back with the blood, here’s your shot. Who do you love?

On the other end of the musical spectrum, soon-to-be Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Chicago hit The Pearl at Palms July 9. The self-described “rock `n’ roll band with horns” has quite the resume; collectively, the band has sold more than 100 million records and crafted 21 top ten singles including since its inception in 1967. Let’s face it: You’ve always wanted to hear the airy, harmonized vocals of “Hard to Say I’m Sorry” or the jazzy opening chords of “Saturday in the Park” live. Entertain that guilty pleasure!
