Hakkasan Group Executive Vice President of Marketing Alex Cordova Decamps

Alex Cordova, Hakkasan Group executive vice president of marketing, one of the nightlife industry’s top players has resigned from his position. In an email statement issued late Tuesday night to Vegas Seven, Nick McCabe, president of Hakkasan Group says, “We appreciate the investment of commitment, time and talent provided by Alex Cordova throughout his tenure with Hakkasan Group. His departure from the company is effective immediately. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

Word on the street is that Cordova will join the team at Wynn Resorts. Wynn is amping up for a big spring, celebrating the seventh anniversary of mega club XS and the April 28 opening of Intrigue nightclub, which will take the place of shuttered Tryst. The resort also recently debuted Encore Players Club, an interactive gaming lounge, and Jardin Restaurant in the former Botero space.

Hakkasan Group will open Jewel Nightclub in Aria on May 19.
