Experience some of reggae’s biggest acts at Mandalay Bay’s Beach during the outdoor venue’s first ever two-day festival, Reggae on the Bay. Occurring October 1-2, the event is the last installment of the Strip hotel’s seasonal Concerts on the Beach series.
Headlining the affair are J Boog (“Let’s Do It Again,” “Sunshine Girl”), who caps off Saturday, and Common Kings (“No Other Love,” “Wade in Your Water”), who take the stage Sunday. Other performers include Maxi Priest, who climbed the charts around the world (and topped them in the U.S.) with “Close to You” in 1990; Grammy-nominated reggae veteran Sister Carol; and Las Vegas natives Lady Reiko & The Sin City Prophets.
Concertgoers can also enjoy authentic Jamaican and Hawaiian cuisine and take part in some shopping, as vendors will be on-site selling traditional clothing, Caribbean arts and crafts and more. Why not spend a night (or two) on the Strip with stellar sounds and sand between your toes?
