When you go shopping, what is the first thing you look for?
I never look for a specific item. Typically, whatever first catches my eye are the best pieces to consider, then in my head I quickly run through all my clothes and shoes to possibly match the item. And I always consider if the piece is something that I will be wearing more than once.
Who is your biggest style influence?
I’m not influenced by one specific designer or a person. I’m inspired by fashion trends, old and new. I typically gather different fashion styles to create my own.
In terms of beauty, what is the first product you go for, even if you have no time?
Concealer. A little bit goes a long way.
How does it feel to be the first person ever featured in The Look twice? (Nicolli was in the June 16, 2011 issue, alongside her husband Ronn)
It feels great! The first time I was featured in The Look, I was kind of lost. It was shortly after my husband and I had our first daughter, so I wasn’t really sure what my style was at the time. But now, I feel like I’ve got this, and I’m confident I have found a style that I am pretty happy and comfortable with.
How did becoming a mom change your style?
I had no idea what my style was. I felt conservative and wasn’t sure what I should be wearing as a mom. Nowadays, I know exactly what I like and what I don’t like. Most importantly, I feel great in my own skin, which helps me determine what looks good on me, as well as certain pieces I shouldn’t be wearing, regardless of the trend.
What is your favorite vibe for winter?
Oversize leather jacket, over-the-knee Stuart Weitzman boots and Yeezy sneakers.
