Seen Around Town: The NFL Is Already in Las Vegas

NFL stars love Las Vegas. It’s no wonder the Raiders want to come here.

Just a few days before billionaire team owners gathered in Phoenix to decide whether they’d gotten enough of our tax dollars to ship us a professional football franchise, some non-Raiders players were taking in the sights of the Strip via Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell.

Thursday 23

Arizona Cardinals tight end Jermaine Gresham and Denver Broncos wide receiver Cody Latimer stopped by the rooftop hotspot to enjoy The COOLest Party with DJ Esco on Thursday night. Hakkasan Las Vegas resident DJ Lil Jon was also in the crowd (he’ll be back at Hakkasan April 15).

Friday 24

Latimer must have enjoyed the view because he was back at Drai’s Friday night, sipping Don Julio 1942 tequila and Hennessy. Not to be outdone, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrance Williams and friends were nearby pouring themselves a little Ace of Spades, D’USSE and Hennessy XO.

All of this was happening, by the way, while T.I. was lighting up the place. Tip, as his friends call him, put on a show for the Drai’s crowd, before settling into a VIP booth that we weren’t allowed to go near.

Meanwhile, over at TAO Nightclub at The Venetian, YouTube star Tyler Oakley celebrated his birthday surrounded by friends and a spread that included satay of sea bass, lobster wontons and a giant fortune cookie.

Saturday 25

People, Cody Latimer is showing you how it’s done. After two straight nights at Drai’s, he was back on the rooftop Saturday morning for the inaugural set by DJ Destructo at Drai’s Beach Club. Also in the crowd, Cleveland Browns cornerback Jamar Taylor (insert Browns joke here).

Later that night, Lil Wayne took the stage at Drai’s and tore it up; meanwhile you were at home watching Dave Chappelle impersonate Lil Wayne in the comic’s new Netflix special.

Back over at TAO, Mark Cuban stopped by, probably to count the number of people he could buy and sell in the place.

Rapper French Montana spent the night at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, dining at Beauty & Essex before his concert at Marquee Nightclub.

It’s a day of rest. It’s the Lord’s day. Also, Oakley tweeted a picture of he and his friends relaxing at Canyon Ranch Spa Club at The Venetian. They looked like they were having fun.
