CBS Radio’s Annual “SPF” (“Sun.Pool.Fun”) Concert at the Boulevard Pool on Saturday, May 20, did not disappoint. Night two of the concert series started 20 minutes late-not bad considering the massive all-ages crowd had to get through security.

As expected, One Direction alumnus, Niall Horan, sang his hit single, “This Town.” Not surprisingly, teen girls were screaming in between singing. He introduced a new track “On the Loose,” and his three-song performance was over in a flash.

Hip-hop artist Post Malone knows how to make an entrance—with a cigarette and a Bud Light. The crowd went wild. It’s a good thing “White Iverson” is so catchy, because he played it twice.

Progressive house DJ Martin Garrix was a “surprise” guest indeed. When he played “Animals,” the Boulevard Pool turned into a fist-pumping rave. At the end of his set, he was presented with a ginormous bottle of vodka in honor of his 21st birthday.

Pop princess, Hailee Steinfeld, was all about black, bling and fringe. She greeted her backup dancers on stage and worked the crowd with the bangers like “Grey” and “You’re Such A” as they danced in unison.

R&B/pop artist Jason Derulo was on fire. Seriously, he took his shirt off. His hype man, DJ Nino Brown, kept the audience on point while backup dancers put on an impressive routine. Derulo broke out some kicks and flips. “Talk Dirty” and “Swalla” were real crowd-pleasers.

DNCE sounded great and they had props, like Stormtrooper masks and lightsabers for the intro, synchronized smoke machines and two giant DNCE flags for the finale. Joe Jonas respectfully covered George Michael’s “Freedom.” He also popped up in the pit, as girls screamed their faces off. Show closer was “Cake By the Ocean” for the venue to sing along.
