Seen Around Town: ‘Dubs’ Crew Brings Victory Party to Vegas

Celebrities frequent our city around the clock. Here are the most notable sightings of the week.

Lordy, this heat.

Today’s column is brought to you from our giant inflatable unicorn pool float, because we’re not getting out of the water.

Disneyland was too crowded (you’re never getting into that Guardians of the Galaxy ride) so the Golden State Warriors took a jet into Las Vegas for a weekend of VIP treatment.

The team was greeted with a champagne toast on the runway and whisked off to ARIA to start their “Dubs Do Vegas” tour.

On Thursday night, Kevin Durant, Matt Barnes, Ian Clark, Andre Iguodala, Javele McGee, Zaza Pachulia, Damian Jones, Klay Thompson and David West were all spotted at “The COOLest Party” with DJ Esco at Drai’s Nightclub on top of The Cromwell.

The teammates were each presented with personalized Belvedere magnums inscribed with their names, and Durant was greeted with special “Drai’s Welcomes MVP Kevin Durant” signage.

Later that night, Draymond Green joined the party at Drai’s After Hours.

After a long night at The Cromwell, members of the team made their way to Marquee Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Friday, which sounds better than sitting in Electric Daisy Carnival traffic.

Thompson, Green, McGee, Iguodala, Barnes and Clark also hit up Alesso’s set at Encore Beach Club, where they received a champagne presentation and sipped on Don Julio 1942, Hennessy VS, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey and Grey Goose vodka cocktails.

Later that night, the Dubs crew, including Durant, Iguodala, Green, Barnes and McGee, arrived at Jewel Nightclub, and seriously, we haven’t seen a public fellating this grandiose since Trump held that cabinet meeting last week.

Picture this: The team struts into the joint like Han, Luke and Chewie headed to the medal ceremony, surrounded by girls in Warriors tees holding up Fathead cutouts of their faces. Inside the club they’re presented with cake and Champagne while the whole place is showered in confetti and DJ Irie plays for the crowd.

Hilariously, if you look up DJ Irie’s bio in the Jewel website, he’s the so-called official DJ of the Miami HEAT, so celebrating the Warriors must have been great for him.

The Dubs weren’t the only NBA stars in town on Friday night. Sacramento Kings star Rudy Gay skipped the Jewel party for Drai’s, where he was spotted sipping Ciroc Patron Silver and D’usse with his crew. Also in the club, Chicago Bears linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski, Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard, Germany national midfielder Mesut Ozil, Manchester City midfielder Leroy Sane and GOAT comedian Dave Chappelle.

After wrapping up their thing at Jewel, Durant and Barnes swung by Drai’s After Hours, because why not?

Spotted at Encore Beach Club: Victoria’s Secret supermodels Jasmine Tookes and Lais Ribeiro, Instagram model Jocelyn Chew, Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne, Arsenal’s Mesut Özil, and Miralem Pjanić, midfielder for Italian club Juventus and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

ARIA’s LIQUID Pool Lounge hosted the Warriors on Saturday, with Green, Barnes, Iguodala, McGee and Thompson swinging through to enjoy tunes by Oliver Heldens.

Durant was spotted later that evening in the crowd for Ward vs. Kovalev II The Rematch at Mandalay Bay Events Center, and he got booed on his way out. This is why you stay in the nightclubs where everyone loves you.

Also on hand to watch Andre Ward throw a beating to Sergey Kovalev: Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch. We are just crossing our fingers that Marshawn hangs on long enough to be with the team when they get here.

Real quick, let’s give it up for Ward, who did exactly what he told us he’d do. Kovalev wouldn’t stop running his mouth until the champ more or less shoved his fist into it. And that’s that.

Meanwhile, Beast Mode and Durant both hit up Drai’s Nightclub after the fight, and the latter arrived with two party busses full of guests, including Barnes, McGee, Inguodala, Jones, West, Pachulia and Clark. Kevon Looney also joined the crew in the stageside VIP booths.

We’re told the team enjoyed Moet & Chandon Nectar Imperial Rose, a magnum of Don Julio 1942, Hennessy and an engraved magnum of Belvedere. All of that sounds good, but we’re still not getting out of this pool.

The Drai’s party on Saturday night was ridiculous, because it wasn’t just Marshawn and the Warriors. Also in the club: Kings’ stars Willie Cauley-Stein and Arron Afflalo, Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, boxer Curtis Stevens, Raiders cornerback Sean Smith and former NBA players Marcus Banks and Mychel Thompson.

If you hung around for the last night of the Electric Daisy Carnival, you got to enjoy a special guest appearance by Drake. The singer arrived in town via jet and immediately realized he was overdressed for our triple-digit heat.

That didn’t keep him from bringing his A game during Metro Boomin’s EDC set.
