Defensemen Jason Garrison and Brayden McNabb celebrated their arrival at MGM Grand’s Hakkasan Restaurant and Nightclub on Friday. The pair, along with some Golden Knights execs, had dinner and later got a shoutout in the club from star DJ Steve Aoki.
McNabb has the distinction of being the first player to don a Golden Knights jersey, so file that bit of trivia away for another time.

Also in Hakkasan on Friday night: Olympic and X-Games gold medalist Shaun White, along with girlfriend, Phantogram singer Sarah Barthel. Aoki gave them a shoutout too, probably so they wouldn’t feel left out.
Meanwhile, The Mindy Project and The Office star Mindy Kaling was back in Las Vegas for the weekend. She had a blast and this time it didn’t cause any controversy. The actress and her pals hit up TAO at The Venetian, saw the city from the High Roller and checked in with the cast of Cirque du Soleil’s O at The Bellagio.
If you don’t recall, years ago Kaling did Craig Ferguson’s old talk show and talked about a time she blew through town and stopped at Luv-It Frozen Custard and called the neighborhood (around Las Vegas and Oakey boulevards) “sketchy.”
People lost their minds. They were writing about it in the newspaper and creating Facebook protest pages—all First World outrage. Kaling had to take it back and say she loved Luv-It, and then we all moved on with our lives.
It turns out she’s also a Ricky Martin fan and was in the crowd for his Friday night show at Monte Carlo’s Park Theater. From her seat she posted a pic asking Ricky to meet her after the show. We’re still waiting to see if Mindy’s dream came true.
T.J. Miller had a good time during his brief stay for a headlining gig at The Mirage. The former Silicon Valley star hit up the hotel’s BARE Pool Lounge on Saturday afternoon wearing a blazer and jeans.
There are two reasons we’re calling that out: 1) It’s hot out, dude and 2) BARE is a topless pool. What gives Miller? Show everyone the goods.
Miller also kept his clothes on for his performance at the Terry Fator Theatre, and after the show he hit up 1 OAK Nightclub for 2 Chainz’s album release party. If you haven’t heard, 2 Chainz dropped Pretty Girls Like Trap Music earlier this month. You’ll probably hear some of it if you’re in the crowd for his performance at this year’s Life Is Beautiful Festival.
Also in the crowd at 1 OAK: retired NFL running back Jamal Lewis, Houston Texans safety K.J. Dillon and Los Angeles Clipper Raymond Felton.
