Next week should be Wonderful Wonderful for Las Vegas-based fans of the Killers. It was announced today that the homegrown indie outfit will preview its upcoming new album (titled, well, Wonderful Wonderful) during a pop-up performance at Caesars Palace’s Strip-side exterior.
The concert, set to begin July 31 at 8 p.m., will be broadcasted during that night’s installment of Jimmy Kimmel Live. But those interested in witnessing the impromptu show live can do just that at The Linq, where they can view the performance (at no charge) from the hotel’s rooftop convention space dubbed The Vortex.
The last-minute engagement will feature performances of the band’s hits, including recent single “The Man.” But as the show is promoting the Killer’s upcoming album—set to be released in September—those watching the set (either onscreen or on the Strip) might be treated to a few yet-to-be-released gems.
The concert exhibits the band’s commitment to its hometown, after performances at the 2013 and 2015 installments of Downtown’s Life Is Beautiful Music & Art Festival and a weekend run of shows to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of its sophomore release, Sam’s Town, held at the eponymous Boulder Strip gambling hall and casino.
