Seen Around Town: Big Boi Takes Drai’s Back to 2003, The Hoff Swings by Intrigue

Celebrities frequent our city around the clock. Here are the most notable sightings of the week.

We’ve got a serious case of FOMO after that Big Boi performance.

Of all the people who have ever been in line for a Vegas residency, you’d think David Hasselhoff would be really close to the front. He was the star attraction during the Paris Las Vegas run of The Producers back in 2007, and he’s got the discography to sustain a lengthy residency. If you don’t believe us, go listen to his renditions of “Country Roads” and “Rhinestone Cowboy.” He’s even got a Christmas album that’s almost as good as the one John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John did some years back.

Why do we bring this up? Because on Thursday night, the singer/actor/producer/lifeguard/talent show judge (he was also Nick Fury before Samuel L. Jackson!) swung through town and was spotted sipping Dom Pérignon with three friends in the super-exclusive, Living Room at Wynn Las Vegas’ Intrigue Nightclub. The “club within the club” is also a social media—free zone, which is good so no one could hassle the Hoff for snaps.

Come on, that was a layup.

And, as if the night couldn’t get any better, Dillon Francis was headlining at Intrigue. Surely if Hasselhoff was up for it, he would have joined Francis in the DJ booth and performed “True Survivor” or “Guardians Inferno” for the crowd. But some matchups are probably best left to our wildest dreams, or maybe next year’s Life Is Beautiful festival?

By the way, Francis is killing it as Jasper on Viceland’s What Would Diplo Do? Highly recommend.

Moving on …

You should have been in the crowd for the Big Boi concert at Drai’s Nightclub on Friday night. Not only was Mr. Boi onstage dropping his newest track, “Kill Jill,” but then out of nowhere Sleepy Brown shows showed up and the duo staged “The Way You Move” from Speakerboxxx/The Love Below! It was like 2003 all over again, except no one drinks Smirnoff Ice anymore.

Now that “Now and Forever” singer Richard Marx has his residency at Flamingo Las Vegas, we’re going to be seeing a lot more of him around town with his wife, ageless beauty (and our now now-and and-forever crush) Daisy Fuentes.

The former MTV VJ and America’s Funniest Home Videos host spent part of her Sunday lounging poolside with her husband at Caesars Palace.

Enjoy Las Vegas, you adorable kids.
