Party—and Sleep—Under the Electric Sky at Camp EDC

For the first time ever, Insomniac will offer camping for festivalgoers

Wish you could go to EDC and never leave? Now you can—at least for four nights.

For the first time ever, the highly-anticipated dance and music festival is introducing Camp EDC so you can stay for the entire EDC 2018 weekend, dusk to dawn.

“Every year I challenge myself to find ways that we can enhance the EDC experience,” Pasquale Rotella, founder and CEO of event producer Insomniac, said in a statement. “One of my dreams has always been to create an immersive camping element to the festival.”

Located next to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the campgrounds will open on Thursday, May 17 at 3 p.m. with checkout ending Monday, May 21 at 7 p.m. (the festival itself will be held May 18-20).

Because it’s EDC and they have to do everything large and loud, the camping experience will be immersive, complete with a kick-off party featuring special guest DJs, “rave aerobics,” hula-hoop classes, yoga, glitter makeovers, a general store, walk-up bars and more. All communal activities will be held in an area called the Mesa, which serves as the hub of Camp EDC.

Campers will be able to stay in air-conditioned ShiftPod2 tents or pull up in an RV, with access to bathrooms, free showers and activities and services provided at the Mesa, along with in-and-out privileges during the festival. Insomniac encourages bikes as a means of transportation as tent and RV campsites are separated.

Prices start at $329 for RV camping, with the Moon Glow Camping package starting at $1,199 for up to four people and the premium Desert Rose Camping package—which features a queen bed or two twins—for two people at $1,499.

First access will be given to those who have already purchased their EDC Las Vegas 2018 festival passes during a pre-sale on November 15 at 12 p.m. The general sale will begin on November 16 at 12 p.m. on the EDC camping website.
