Hometown nightlife “Queen of Housez” Zee Zandi is returning to Wynn Las Vegas as executive director of artist development and strategy.
This will put the industry veteran and University of Nevada, Las Vegas alum in command of—among other priorities—Wynn Nightlife’s residency roster, an embarrassment of riches that currently features the likes of Diplo, Marshmello, the Chainsmokers and David Guetta.
Zandi split from Wynn, where she served as director of entertainment, in 2013 to front Silent Partner Entertainment Group alongside partner Lauren Linck. In a statement, Zandi says, “I always knew I would return to Wynn someday, and that day has now arrived.”
The timing of the announcement comes as Wynn Nightlife is set to debut a new industry night on Thursdays at Encore Beach Club, and the roster is evolving with the signings of deep house artists Jamie Jones, Black Coffee and Solomun.
Despite the recent turnover at the top (maybe you’ve heard), Wynn Resorts is plotting major expansions on the Strip with Paradise Park and a third hotel, Wynn West. Zandi will surely play a role in programming those new additions if they come online during her tenure.
For now, she’ll “further our ever-evolving artist program,” according to Wynn Nightlife Managing Partner Alex Cordova.
If Zandi is listening, we have one word: synthwave.
