Flair for Care: The Fashion Show That Gives Back Returns

Nathan Adelson Hospice, Southern Nevada’s only nonprofit hospice, hosts its largest annual charity event with looks from multiple designers

There will be two questions asked the afternoon of Nathan Adelson Hospice’s annual Flair for Care Fashion Show: Who are you wearing? And, who are you helping?

Set to take place on May 19 in the Lafite Ballroom in Wynn Las Vegas, Flair for Care features the fall 2018 lines available at Wynn Collection—the hotel’s high-fashion boutique—from A-list designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Jason Wu, Nicole Miller, Victoria Beckham and many more.

The hospice’s largest charity event of the year, hosting more than 500 guests yearly, Flair for Care is taking a departure to feature various works as opposed to its usual solo guest designer. All of the collections showcased are available to purchase at Wynn Collection after the show, with 10 percent of the proceeds going to Nathan Adelson Hospice. For the silent auction, prizes range from an exclusive chef’s tasting at Masso Osteria inside Red Rock Resort, a number of designer handbags and a fully paid round-trip vacation to Atlantic City.

As Southern Nevada’s only nonprofit hospice, Nathan Adelson Hospice provides patients with both in-home and in-facility end-of-life care. The hospice staff works every day to follow its mission statement, “No one should end the journey of life alone, afraid or in pain,” with services ranging from medical work to Reiki therapy depending on each patient’s needs.

“It is all about being able to make sure our patients are treated regardless of their ability to pay,” says Stephanie Forbes, Nathan Adelson Hospice development manager. “Whether it is uncompensated care or different therapies, all the proceeds are going toward making sure we have those services for years to come.”

Under three new cochairs, Dena duBoef-Roth, Tami Hance and Nicole Parry, the Flair for Care Fashion Show features lines by multiple designers, showcasing fierce looks that capture the strength and beauty of the modern woman, for the first time in 25 years of the show. Tickets to the fashion show and luncheon are still available for purchase for $250, as are table sponsorships. Ticket proceeds go to Nathan Adelson Hospice.
