Hakkasan Group Unveiled its Labor Day Weekend Lineup

It’s almost a wrap for summer 2018.

That went by fast, didn’t it? Our recovery time from Fourth of July lasted a bit longer than we expected this season, and all of a sudden it’s August. Don’t look now, but Halloween candy is about show up on store shelves.

Summer winds down slowly in Las Vegas, but when it’s over, you know it’s over. And how do you know it’s over? Three words: Labor Day Weekend.

This is our last chance to shake the pillars of heaven, as the great Jack Burton is fond of saying, and we know just the place. Make that seven places.

Hospitality pros Hakkasan Group just unveiled the 2018 Labor Day Weekend lineups for its namesake nightclub, as well as OMNIA Nightclub, JEWEL Nightclub, 1 OAK, WET REPUBLIC, Bare, and LIQUID Pool Lounge. It’s A-list talent all around, and a perfect blend of music genres from house to hip-hop.

We’ve yet to meet the person who can fit all seven locales into a single Labor Day Weekend, but if that means we have to answer the call, well, challenge accepted.

This is no two-night stay either, where you hop into town for a couple of club ragers and then duck out Sunday morning. Labor Day Weekend 2018 starts on Thursday, August 30, with LIQUID, Bare, and Hakkasan Nightclub all ready to welcome guests and a DJ lineup that includes Scooter & Lavelle, Greg Lopez, and Golden Knights fan No. 1 Lil Jon.

On Friday, Aug. 31, you can start waving goodbye to swimsuit season with Tiësto at WET REPUBLIC (he’s also playing Hakkasan on Saturday, Sept. 1) and then crash for a few hours before things get hot in the nightclubs, where Playboi Carti (Jewel) and Desiigner (1 OAK), among others, are headlining. Then, settle in for additional pool time on Sunday, Sept. 2 before you head out to enjoy the likes of Martin Garrix at OMNIA or Calvin Harris at Hakkasan.

And don’t even think about catching an early flight on Monday, Sept. 3, because it’s Labor Day and it’s your time to work off all the energy that builds up while you’re sitting at your cubicle during the week.

The celebration starts early, with Martin Garrix (working on no sleep) at WET REPUBLIC and the Labor Day “Barekini Contest” with DJ Flow at Bare. Later that night, Steve Aoki caps off the holiday weekend with a “Flawless Mondays” show at JEWEL.

So let’s add it all up. This year, we’ve got our choice of 26 shows spread across seven venues over five days. That should be enough to hold us over until New Year’s Eve. Hopefully.
