Director Steven Soderbergh’s film, which is loosely based on producer/star Channing Tatum’s own experience as a male stripper, is actually a nimble, enjoyable and well put-together workplace comedy. Mike (Tatum) works construction by day and strips by night at Club Xquisite, run by ex-stripper Dallas (a devilish Matthew McConaughey). When Mike befriends The Kid (Alex Pettyfer), he reveals the strip world to him, while also taking a liking to his older sister (Cody Horn). For what it is, it is great.
