One of Las Vegas’ most opinionated entertainers has a new soapbox: Penn Jillette’s Web-only series, Penn Point, debuted May 24 on Internet TV site Revision3.com. Jillette now sounds off on everything from pop culture to philosophy four times a week. “I’m saying and shooting whatever I want, wherever I want,” he says, describing the first episodes—which cover Seth MacFarlane, Tea Parties and the iPad—as “really kick-ass.”

The brainchild of enterprising DJ, Tina “T” Turnbull, Camp Spin-Off will be held in Oak View, Calif., and feature other well-known DJs—including Liquid, Moon and Wet Republic regular, DJ Scene—in addition to its founder, whose résumé includes gigs at Tao, Rain, Pure and Tabu.

The “rock star chef,” Kerry Simon, has, as they say on Top Chef, packed his knives and left the CatHouse restaurant at Luxor—but he didn’t go far. The chef still has a full plate with Simon at Palms Place, and a second namesake eatery in L.A. He also recently served as a consultant to Nu Sanctuary at Town Square, and is now gearing up to open a new venture on the Strip, KGB Burger Bar, in Harrah’s. (KGB stands for Kerry’s Gourmet Burgers, not the old Soviet security agency.) Oh, and he’s about to debut a new Prime Steakhouse in Atlantic City.
