He covered UNLV men's basketball and football for the Las Vegas Sun and its website for more than three years. The site was a finalist in both 2009 and 2010 for the EPpy Award, given by Editor & Publisher magazine to the nation's top sports site with fewer than one million unique monthly visitors. He came to Las Vegas after covering Kansas men's basketball and football for the Lawrence-Journal-World and KUSports.com for two years, with that site winning the EPpy in 2007 and coming in as a finalist in 2008. He is also a regular contributor on the ESPN 1100 AM airwaves throughout the year, appearing on both of the station's afternoon shows and its UNLV pre game shows.

In an expected roster move, UNLV sophomore guard Karam Mashour will seek a transfer from the program, according to AAU coach Anthony Brown.
