A 1998 graduate of Cimarron-Memorial High School, Purdy brought home a bronze medal from Sochi and a silver from Hollywood. The former came in snowboard cross; the latter (OK, not really a medal, but whatever you get when you fall just short of the Mirror Ball Trophy) on Dancing With the Stars. And, in case you missed it, she did it all on a pair of prosthetic legs, competing in the DWTS first round three days after winning her Paralympic medal in Russia. Purdy, renowned for her relentlessly positive attitude, would probably tell you that the real challenge was jet lag. AmyPurdy.com.
